Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) pasta (e.g., spaghetti, penne, or fusilli)
  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lime or lemon juice (about 2 limes or lemons)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 cup (40 g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved (for topping, optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
